Although spring may be slow in coming here in Toronto with more snowstorms ahead, it's time to begin tuning into those longer days and warmer temperatures - freshening up our interiors along the way! Embracing seasonality in our homes is not only visually pleasing, but it also encourages relaxation & positive energy.
Here are my four tips to help you transition into this season:
1. DECLUTTER
Put away all winter-specific decorations and start a deep clean of your entire house. Clutter can quickly accumulate around the house, so taking this time to get rid of things you no longer use or need can help clears your home and gives space to new ideas and positive energy.
2. ORGANIZE
Necessities should be easily accessible but not visually overwhelming; look towards small storage solutions like baskets to neatly store scattered items away when not being used. Organized space allows us to feel more relaxed in our homes.

3. BRING IN FRESH SCENTS
With a bit of sunshine finally peeking through, bringing some life back into your interior with fresh stems or houseplants can be a great way to enliven any room in the house. Not only do these aesthetic additions offer an energizing atmosphere, but their air-purifying qualities absorb pollutants and unpleasant smells too!

4. LIGHTEN UP TEXTILES
Swap out sturdy blankets and throws for lighter ones suited better for milder weather. Adding lighter shades, such as white/beige pillows, cushions, and curtains is another great tip that will bring an extra touch of brightness indoors.
